LPG or propane in the bottles ?

Hi there;
Just to get some advices about refilling the 2 bottles or tanks in front of my caravan.
What kind of gas , I'have to use for cooking, furnace... LPG as my car riding in FRANCE, or propane ? I haven't gotten, for the moment , THE manual but I 'ld like to know your experience for that.
Thank you by advance.

LPG =GPL ?

thank you for the reply, so I'm sure that i don't drive with a propane engine on my little 15' GPL truck in FRANCE.
I would'nt take risks and explose in my caravan when I prepar cooking with fire and GPL .
Is someone knew the specificities of the gas to refill; I've seen in USA , refill propane station; is it pure propane or a special mix with methan or other gas ?

thank you one more time ,

Bruno from FRANCE.
