LP tank noise

I have an aluminum LP tank on my globetrotter. When I'm walking around inside I can hear something ticking and rattling inside the tank. It's driving me crazy. Can someone tell me what's going on. Thanks for the help. Mike

There's a float in there that's part of the overfilling prevention device.

Thanks. Is there anyway to stop the noise. Could it be broken?

Some of the OPDs do rattle a little bit, but still seem to work. (The ones I don't like are those that get stuck in the closed, "up" position, making it necessary for me to konk them on the ground a few times.)

If you are going insane with it, then two suggestions:

1. Put some stabilizers on the front to limit movement; or

2. Spend some money and have the valve replaced.

If your bottles have the fuel gauge on the top, there is also a second float assembly in addition to the OPD float.
