Question LP Tank Cover Question

I just bought a new tank cover ....got the new latch that goes on the back side also. How or what do I need for the front ? It looks like there is a plastic bar with rivets that goes across the top outside of the tank that sort of folds (like a hinge), but is broken in spots. Any help would be most appreciated.

Where is your gray plastic lid ? it fastens to that hinge with rivets and closes from the front to the rear.

Was out to the trailer tonight. These are the rivets that were used to attach the lid to the tank cover. The large head goes on the outside of the cover. I'm sure Inland has these also if your getting ready to order anything from them.

Are there any machinist out there that can make a mold that will stamp out a aluminum cover so the plastic ones will be history…..
