Installing Propane Quick Disconnect

I am running new gas lines and was wondering if anyone has installed a quick connect for a grill on a older model Airstream, I have a 1972 Sovereign and wanted to put one on while I was installing for future use. Was trying to figure a good place to install it on the unit. Any help and pictures would be a great help. Could not find any post referencing this.

I put a Tee fitting at the junction of the flexible line from the tanks and the hard line to the rest of the trailer. I use a Camco Olympian grill that has a mounting rail that I screwed into the horizontal rib under the window in front of the door. I drape the hose from the grill over and behind the segment protector and hook it up to the fitting. I used a Camco quick disconnect fitting I got on Amazon.

This is what I use.

I think the hose I am using is longer but not a big thing. I would not consider a true Quick Disconnect for a trailer installation for reasons of possible very small leakage that would drain the tank without you knowing. A half cooked burger is not worth the convenience the Quick Disconnect might give.

Keep in mind this only works off one of the tanks so I have to keep an eye on that tank level.

I was thinking about using the Quick Connect with Valve Shut Off that VTS sells since it has a valve to isolate the gas. Has anyone used their quick connect valve.

Quick LP Connection

Recently installed this on my '72 Overlander. Cut into copper gas line and installed a flare "T." Placed a QC on one end of copper tubing and a flare with flare ""nut" that connects into the "T." If concerned about this when traveling, I remove this at the T and replace with a flare cap. This was installed on the curbside about inline with front tire.

The valve that I used looks like yours. There are several on the market that have a cut-off made into the QC and a 3/8 female pipe thread on one end.
