in need of maybe?

theres a cover over so tanks in the RV parks here at L.B.L .Not sure if you have to have them or not.But where do you get one at If you do and what are they called.

Hi, Angel,

They are called tank covers.

There are at least three varieties. One is vinyl, and it's the cheapy. Camping World would have them. You often see white plastic covers on other brands, but I've never seen one on an Airstream. Again, CW would be the source. Then there's the aluminum jobs. These came from Airstream, but a good sheet-metal person could make you a nice one.

Of course, you also could POLISH the tanks if they are aluminum. These look pretty proud sitting up front.

Then again, tanks is tanks. There's nothing wrong with leaving them sitting out there for all the world to view.

Hi

Yes the aluminum one for the A/S.We are polishing are too.But i was told it was law you had to have one.Is this so? And where can i get one?

No there is no law or other regulation demanding this cover on the tanks. We don't have one. It's more appropriate on the newer bigger trailers, like yours, than our smaller vintage camper. You might find RV "Resorts" that demand it, as part of the look of the park, but there's no law.
