Horizontal LP Tanks on 34' Limited

Can anyone tell me what years horizontal tanks were used?

All I can tell you is that My 1995 Airstream has horizontal tanks. I have been trying to get them OPD legal, but nobody makes the new valve for horizontal bottles. If you know ofanybody that could replace horizontal tank valves with the new OPD approved valves, let me know.

I wish I could be more help. I think it was in a thread you posted that you had to buy new tanks for $300 each and a few possible sources for valves were listed. I am shopping for a trailer and really like the look of the horizontal tanks, but I didn't realize they were such a problem.

New horizontal DOT tanks are still available with the new OPD valves, so the components are made. Guess it's just a matter of finding a licensed LP outlet willing to undertake the job.

Why don't you call Manchester Tank Co. at 1-800-877-8265 and ask in either the sales dep't or tech support section. Tell them what need and they may have an outfit that will do it.
