Gas line repair at front hitch-help needed

The gas line at the hitch near the tanks on my 1970 Caravanner looks like it was bent back and forth until it broke. I have never owned an Airstream so I was hoping someone could tell me how the line attaches into the regulator assembly... Was there a flex hose or did the gas line feed directly into the regulator?

Thanks.

The regulator is hooked up to a rubber hose. You should be able to find one at an RV supply.

Regulator to trailer tubing

On my 1963 the regulator has a copper tubing line with a spiral wrap in it going to the trailer. This spiral allows some flexibility but over time copper tubing gets cold worked and becomes brittle and may break. When replacing the tubing, new annealed tubing is recommended all the way back to the first tee junction. The connections from the tanks to the regulator are rubber hoses.
