Late model RVs have a Hansen/Sturgis Model 250 Low Pressure Quick Disconnect LP Port which accepts a 1/4" MNPT Plug. Some older RVs had a Model 3/375 Low Pressure Quick Dissconnect Port. The Model 250 Port is a Low Pressure Port (5 psi Max). You will find Model 375 QDs where Grills connect to household Natural Gas sources. The Model 250 QD and Plug look very similar the the High Pressure Sturgis 5LP QD / Plug which is rated at 250 psi. The Model 250 (low pressure) Plug will mate with the 5LP(high pressure) QD but will not pass gas. The 5LP (high pressure) Plug will not physically mate with the Model 250 (low pressure) QD. This confuses a lot of people trying to plumb gas on a RV.

Most hardware stores carry the 5LP high pressure connectors / hoses. RV specific Model 250 or Model 3/375 QD hardware are somewhat harder to find. I found an excellent source for RV QDs and hoses here in Houston.

This is one of the most confusing and useless threads in the forums if someone is attempting to utilize existing equipment off the AS system.

WHICH Houston source did you find? It'd be nice to know your secret source. (wink)

The problem I've run across is that I already own appliances which have regulators and short hoses with POL connections.... but there is no long hoses and fittings mentioned that connect prior to the AS regulator.
Many appliances which have their own regulators are designed to connect (via short hose) directly to the tank POL...and their regulator also controls their flame height. One cannot simply remove the regulator and plug into low press. because there'll be no adjustment left for flame height.
This means to use it I need a highpress hose with a quick connect prior to the AS regulator.... or a "splitter" or "Y" at an existing POL coming off the tank (not a particularly good idea.)

I'd be interested in finding out if this can work on a 2014.

We use the Weber 6' adapter hose that goes directly from our Airstream or smaller portable propane tank (whichever works best at the time). We can also use this hose and small spare tank at home to use our Weber Q1200 there.

My 2017 22FB Sport has a front LPG connection rated at 25,000 btu, according to the sticker on my Airstream right above the connector. My Weber Q1200 is rated at 12,000 btu. Using these numbers it appears that your setup is adequate since the flow from the Airstream LPG connection is twice that required by the Weber grill.
