Dometic refer won't run on propane

Good morning-
The fridge on my new Airstream won't switch to propane or won't work on it when selected. Working on AC power fine though. Dometic model no. RM3762LBX. All the other appliance working fine on propane.
Thanks!
Jamie

Check the manual

You need to ignite the flame. It's much like starting a pilot light.

There is a button to hold open the gas supply. and a button that makes a spark that lights the flame.

Keep pushing the spark button until you hear it ignite ( or see visual display show you that it's lit. keep holding down the gas supply button for about 15 seconds, until it's stays lit whwhen you let go of it. It may take a few tries sometimes. It helps to run the stove to get air out of lines after periods of non use or having propane tanks turned off

If you have it in " AUTO" and are plugged into shore power it won't run on gas.
Make sure you have the gas mode selected.
If it has faulted I believe you must turn it off then select the mode again to retry.

The model you have is an electronic ignition. There are two fuses according to the manual. A 120v and a 12V fuse. Check the 12v fuse. Have someone stand by the outside vent and see if you can hear the gas solenoid open and the igniter fire when on LP only. If you hear nothing then suspect the fuse.

Fuses
The refrigerator is equipped with two 5 A fuses - one for 12V DC and one for the AC heater.
rePlaCing the fuses
1. Tun off the refrigerator.
2. Unplug the power cord
3. Open the power module cover.
4. Snap the fuse out of the fuse holder. 5. Fit the new fuse in to the fuse holder. 6. Close the power module cover.

A bit different,
My fuse was cheap and fell apart in the fuse holder, didn't blow, but didn't flow 120 volts either. Replaced it and got back to running on shore power.

Try blowing out the burner tube with compressed air. Same problem with my unit. A couple of blasts of air by the tech and it was working again.

SSDD. Guess the letters meaning if you wish. Our 2014 23'D International Serenity is being traded in tomorrow for a new model......the 16' Sport. Ahhhh, we decided our trailer use will be local: Catskill and Adirondack Mts on eastern NY. The smaller unit will fit sase camp grounds much better. We too had an issue with the refer working on propane. It didn't!! As we were w/o electricity camping, we ended up burning battery power and running a generator. (I've mentioned before my wife's problem with noise, even the Honda 3000i.) For me, problems that I can't fix really bother me especially when camping. So, when things don't work I've little patience. Our changing unite is in part my dissatisfaction with the refer working on propane and faulty water pump issues. Airstreams cost a lot. Why can't buyers get quality "better" than a pop-up eat trailer for goodness sake.

We are getting our 2017 Airstream tomorrow. Its will be perfect I'm sure.
