Dometic Propane Cylinder Level Detector?

I may buy one of these level detectors made by Dometic. The Amazon site only has three reviews thus far.

Looking for feedback on how well they work and if they are reliable. Any insights you could share based on your experience with one would be appreciated.

Propane level detectors are quite unreliable. Never have found one that works.

I have the Truma version
Fill level indicator Truma LevelCheck

Actually, it seems to work pretty well but the tank must be clean, rust interferes. I have tested it on 20 lb and 30 lb tanks and I like it.

I have a different version and it works well -- when properly used. The location on the tank must be clean, and you may have to try a couple of different locations. It is much more convenient than those that require warm water to be poured on them. We love it.
