What does the flame look like? Has the flu been cleaned?.
Perhaps you have a bad thermostat on the gas side. What is the gas pressure at the refer test port? Should be 11" of water column. Does the flame vary when you adjust the thermostat?

You may not see a visible change in the flame but there should be an audible change. Listen closely at the back of the refer.

The thermostats is used for both gas and electric.

If the unit cools on electric the problem is in the gas section. You say the flew has been cleaned. There should be a tubulator in the flew to cause the flame to wash against the sides of the chimney. Is that still there?

Cool the unit down on electric to the lowest setting, a day or more. Once cooled have someone put it on gas while you watch the flame and then have them set it to a colder setting. You should hear the flame sound change as the thermostat calls for cooling. If not the control board or the gas valve may be the issue. Put a volt meter across the wires leading to the gas valve and do the raise thermostat test. If you see voltage as the thermostat goes up the control board is good and the gas valve may not be responding.

I do not have your model of Dometic, so am offering my experience on a 2006 Dometic in a 23 foot Safari.

Although the propane or electric options both worked fine, I had an Ammonia leakage from a broken tube in the unit. It was a poorly welded tubing defect. I not only smelled it when it began to leak on a camping trip, but a yellow residue is left at the source of the leak.

Maybe this is of no help, but nobody has brought this option of your situation.
