Does everyone's LP cover rattle?

I know I can't hear it when I'm driving but it bugs me when I am turning on the LP gas and the cover seems to be so weakly secured. Anyone else hav this problem, or is it just my imagination?

Mine came with a foam rubber pad between the hitch jack and the cover which seems to help. I have the aluminum cover. Is that what you have or do you have a plastic one?

You can adjust the latch tighter.

I'm talking about the whole box being loose.. not just the cove that opens... i thought perhaps by tightening the wing nut it would help but it doesnt seem to make much difference. I guess I will have to take it apart and see if i added a washer or something at the bottom the wingnut would then take up the slack

Not sure, but isn't there another nut under the bracket that is under the wingnut? I seem to recall I had to do something there on our new one, too.

Rattling wasn't as much a problem as it was rubbing on the jack and messin' up that nice shiny NEW.

Couldn't have that. nossir.
