Cool Does anyone know what this is?

This is on a 1984 Holiday Rambler Imperial motorhome. It is near the bottom of the coach and looks like something to hold a flag or something. However, when you look in the propane access door there is a large hose connecting it to the top of the horizontal Propane tank. There are no threads on the inside but there is a rubber plug that fits in the end. There is nothing in the paperwork with the MH that refers to it. Any ideas?? I haven't found another one like it on any other motorhome but I'm sure somebody out there has had experience with one. Inquiring minds would like to know.
I apologize for the quality of the pictures. I took them with my cell phone in the evening.

Looks like a quick-connect for an outdoor gas grill.

Meddle not in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy, and taste good with ketchup.

Now you have to figure out brand so you can buy the male plug to be able to use.
