Cool trick for Fridge in hot weather

Anyone use these fans to push more air up your refrigerator cooling vent riser? I want to hook them up to a couple of solar panels, that way there is no drain on my 12V system and the fans come on automatically when it gets hot and sunny!!

Quite a few threads on here on adding fans to the fridge compartments. Do a search and you'll get lots of ideas.

I do think you be better served to have them hardwired to your 12v system with a thermostat, a couple of computer fans draw a fraction of an amp. Feed that solar panel into your battery instead.

can't post pics. However, I got some smaller fans, made a simple aluminum frame and mounted the fans with wire ties. The frame hangs on the coils, facing up to assist normal convection. Adding fans to the outside can and will suck in water when it rains. It can also increase flow around the fridge into the trailer. Ours workies fine.
