Yes well money do..
I used these as a replacement on my 34' excella. Was a direct fit and function except for having to change the terminal on the wires.
$11 a pop is a very cheap convenience.

A "special order" would be nice for sure. I've talked to one of the sales reps and he said things can be done you just got to ask. I'm all about keeping it simple. If I can get the tanks, make some simple mods and it works that's fine with me. Fresh from the factory would be great but at what cost?

All the factory prices are inflated to cover the dealership commission

Seriously if it costs $450 to make a change and that change costs another $500 for the big tanks... save the cash and buy them for $300 after the fact!

FWIQ I seem to recall Sam's selling the steel Worthington #40 last year for $69. Buy a silver rattle can for $5 and. Bank the rest

Yea...I don't argue trying to run a business. In the end we make our own choices. If I can save $400 trust me I'll rattle can them!

Don't get me wrong. The big aluminum Worthingtons are really nice but steel holds propane just as well.
I would spend the money again.
Be advised nor all tanks have the provision to have the guage. Mine has a magnetic float of some sort. The dial I mentioned from vts will only read these tank styles.
