Checking LP lines for leaks

Very excited about my new, 1959 Flying Cloud. Mostly original interior including the the old metal LP lines, original LP hot water heater and even an original LP powered saloon light.

My concern is for leaks given their age. Soap solution, propane detector, paying someone to check... can it be done safely and reliably by myself?

What are the expert opinions?

Thanks

Short version ...

There is info available on the web about how/what is done for a periodic propane inspection.

Unless you are trained to work with propane, it might be safer to have an RV mechanic certified for gas check it.

The system runs at 11 inches water column and to measure that a special gage is needed.

To check pipe joints, leak detector solution is preferred, soapy water okay if rinsed off.
