Atwood Range - Remove Rubber Grommets?

Our 2013 Bambi has an Atwood range. Under the long grates that are over the burners there are small gray rubber (maybe heat resistance silicone) grommets. The purpose of these grommets is to keep the grates from rattling while the trailer is being towed, I guess.

My question is do these grommets need to be removed when cooking or are they of a material that won't melt if left under the grates. They would not actually be exposed to flame but would be exposed to high heat from the grates.

We've never removed the grommets from our range, use it all the time, and have not caught the grommets on fire yet.

Leave em. They will not melt.

You'll eventually lose one or two though. Try to describe them to the local RV store and you'll get a "D'oh" look... followed by, "Oh, I know the little black a##holes for the stove".

A whole bag costs about $2 or $3 so if they just get icky, they aren't expensive to replace.

Thank you so much for all the replies! I know it's small thing but after searching through the Atwood owner's manual I couldn't find any info on these little rubber thingies.
