Another micro pulse malfunctioning

I know the the micropluse monitoring system is not a favorite amongst Airstream owners. I am having issues as well with my 2013 Sport 22 system. When I received the trailer new it seemed like the only reliable gauge was the grey tank sensor. After bringing it to the closest dealer (4 hours away) to have it recalibrated after my first season, none of the sensors now seem to be working this season.

My question is whether or not it is worth it for me to have the dealer look at it again before the warranty expires this spring. Logistically it is a hassle for me to bring the trailer to service due to the distance.

I guess another option would be to recalibrate it myself. Wondering how successful people have been doing a recalibration themselves.

I also bought a bottle of Thetford Sensor Cleaner to try. Also wondering if anyone has had success with something similar.

Or should I just give up on the system altogether?

I gave up on mine. Fresh and gray are fairly close, but my black tank level has not even registered any level since I pulled off of the dealer lot.

I use this method to dump my black tank, and have fairly good accuracy with my micro pulse. It might be worth a try.

Do it yourself. Burned 14 gallons of gas for dealer to try but no better outcome. Used 100 gallons of water for all three tanks to do myself in my driveway. Somewhat better results. Best you can hope for with micropulse are general indicator results. Not accuracy.

Use the method described in your owner's manual to calibrate the monitor. It will probably take at least an hour to fill and drain the tanks, but it is better than going back to the dealer. Most dealers don't have the calibration tool, and even if they did, it can go back out of calibration the first time you use it.
I call the Micro-Pulse the "Not Quite Virtual Reality Gauge System".

My fresh water tank is the only one that reads close to correct. The others constantly read full. I have gone thru the recalibration process as recommended in the manual twice. The battery monitor also seems to have a mind of its own. Not sure I can trust it.

At this point we ignore ours. It is useless. Fresh water indicator: no water. Grey tank indicator: water standing in the shower. Black tank indicator: Situation becomes unattractive.

With a bit of experience it is not hard to have a feel for the status. And to preempt problems you can just add fresh water in advance and dump when the opportunity is available.

My question is: is it even worth it to replace the system with some other?

Nope. Two replacement warranty units later, about a dozen calibrations, it's simply not worth it.

In my case, if grey if full, fresh would coincide with grey being full and of course, black anyone can do visually. Never knew if they were accurate with LP measurement, but with 2 tanks, when one went empty, switch to the other, so my vote was to simply ignore the Micropulse since it was rarely right anyway and judging by the many newer coaches that have issues at least 4 years past my model year tells me why they possibly and finally switched to a different tank monitoring system....

Exactly correct, Twinkie!
If I pull out of home spot with a full fresh water tank and empty grey and black tanks I know the situation. When the fresh tank is low...the grey tank is near full. Doh. Dump and refill every chance I get.
Black tank only requires a flashlight and a look down the toilet.

I had the system recalibrated at JC, and even that didn't improve the system. Fresh is OK, others useless. I have come to know how many days of showers, dishes I can go with my Fresh water full, and I just hope the BW/GW split is OK. I don't worry about it anymore. The recalibration instructions we so non-understandable to me that I know that would be a waste of time and water.
