Aluminum Tank Cover Top?
Looking for a source for replacing the molded top for an aluminum tank cover for twin 30 lb. tanks. Any suggestions?

An Airstream dealer should be able to get that cover for you.

Thanks Andy. I guess there is no after-market replacement then.

Very rarely will you find an after market replacement for Airstream parts.
There are two covers, one for a 30# cover and one for a 40# cover.
Why the difference in price is anyone's guess.
The 30# is almost $60.00 and the 40# is about $70.00.

Thanks for your ballpark $... I guess since the 40# tank is taller, the price needs to be higher... I'm glad that I have 30# tanks
At this point, I will be looking toward the spring to take the maiden voyage, so I will contact the dealer about 70 miles north after the holidays.
Thanks again..

Why there are two different covers, makes no sense.
Same for the pricing.
Airstream has always had their very own unique way of pricing parts.
It's call "confusing."
But we have to live with it.

Actually "marketing" is a more apt term. Airstreams dealers seem to have the same "confusing" strategy.

Art Costello had it right at a international rally in 1969.
We, or our dealers will "NEVER" be able to satisfy some of our customers, until "JC" becomes Chairman of Airstreams board of directors.
"Until then, we will do the best we can, to satisfy the majority of our customers."
Well said Art, may you continue to rest in peace.
