'66 Safari furnace questions

Fired up the furnace for the first time and it works!
But the blower won't shut off. I finally had to disconnect the battery for awhile, but then it came back on when I reconnected the battery.

So...I'm looking for help and a link to the Suburban manual.

Thanks!

Do not run that furnace that was in your 1966 before checking to see if that is one of the Suburban furnaces that has been recalled due to Carbon Monoxide issues. Your life is worth more than the money you would save by using that furnace. Check the model out first. The one in my camper was recalled and when I call Suburban they said destroy it. I don't remember the model but it can't hurt for you to take a second and check.

I believe it was the NT22 or NT22A in those and yes they are dangerous. You can undo one or 2 screws that hold the heat exchanger into the cabinet and after removing the vent screws outside you can slide the unit out of the cabinet. You also need to disconnect the gas line as I recall. I had 2 '67 Safari's with that issue.
The hazard is the rubber 'sleeve' which degrades and allows CO to mix with the fresh air intake.
I now install Catalytic heaters (like the Wave 6 or 8) and they are tons better.
