Where can I check my trailers WBCCI number?

I'm wanting to find out if my trailers #'s are available before I join. Is there anyway to check #1034?

According to the 2013 WBCCI Membership Directory, # 1034 is assigned to a member in Texas.

Thank you. I figured being a low number, it had probably been reassigned. I guess I will wait to join until time to polish it.

You don't have to wait until then. Go ahead and join, but leave your Airstream "bald" until you polish it out.

Or if you really don't want your ghost number to show under your new number, get thee hence to your local sign maker (in my area that's FastSigns) and get adhesive or cling-film signs made with your number, red numbers on a silver background. That will cover up the old number nicely.

If you join between now and the end of the year, you will be covered for all next year anyway. Membership goes from Jan to Dec. but you get immediate membership, if you join between July 1st and Dec.

I wouldn't worry about the existing number on tour Airstream. Join now, and start using the benefits of the club.

Meet some great folks, attend a rally or stay at an AS only park.

We never put full size numbers on either of our trailers. We have small 1"numbers on our rock guards.

Welcome

Placement of the Big Red Numbers really only makes a difference if you attend one of the big WBCCI functions, like the International Rally. If emergency services are summoned to the rally grounds, and all of the trailers look alike, the only reasonable way for an ambulance to find YOUR trailer is to look for the numbers. If the numbers are in the same place for all the trailers, they're more likely to find you quickly.

That said, the risk is small, and if you want to put your numbers on the window, or a separate plaque that you mount on your propane tank cover, or on the rock guards, or wherever, no one will stop you and only a few will even care. Some of the old-time traditionalists may complain, but even they want you as a member a lot more than they want the numbers on the centerline over the front and rear windows.

Top of Ga prefers numbers on trailor for these safety reasons. Just put the numbers on cardboard, etc, while you are there. Jim

You can also email or call WBCCI HQ and they will be happy to check the numbers for you. Both can be found on wbcci.org

Thank you all for your help and info.

For some reason, I would like for the trailer to keep the same numbers even though they really only reflect the owners. I love those big red numbers up there!

I will continue to check on the numbers. It will be a while before we are ready to start making the trips anyway.

My husband just tore out one of the twin beds and added bunks. We ripped out the gaucho and are making a banquette. I've got curtain, sheet, and cushion duty! Painting, flooring, and counter are up next.

I was going to go ahead and register if they were available so we could have it.

Try adding a digit in front or back of your number - such as 11034 or 10341 (those are available, btw). That way you can cover the original ghost numbers and just add the 1 before or after.
