We entered the RV scene in our 40's and hang out with lots of people in their 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, even a couple of folks in their 90's.
At 47 and 52 we are generally the youngest people at the rallies.

One word: Instagram

That is where they all are. You have to do some work to find them, but there are a ton on there traveling loosely together and meeting up in some really cool boondocking locations. Many of them are full timers.

I have met some of them and they are fantastic folks. They are all younger, many with kids. You can search here for posts on Instagram and start there. A few of them are on this forum.

My husband's on the young side of Gen X but I am *gasp* a Millenial. (A name to which I will always object.)

Ted's right, they're on Instagram. Also Youtube.

Some I found:
No kids:
Gone with the Wynns
Loloho (Gen X, or slightly above, I think)
The More We Explore

With Kids:
Take That Exit
Currently Wandering

There are more, I'm certain.

My husband and I run our own (software) biz so we're able to take long trips, but what's confusing to me is that many of our industry friends could, too - and they have as much (if not more) money than us... but they either A. feel trapped by their obligations (even though they're not really trapped; they're the boss!) or B. don't care or maybe C. have never considered it. Lots of them take long trips and stay in hotels or AirBnBs though. We do have plenty of friends who love the rugged life and pain of actual camping (vs doing it just because they can only afford to do it). But there's no cross-over anywhere.

Maybe if we make it more visible, more people will do join us!

Gone with the Wynns and Loloho are much younger than we, and we are much younger than the average RV'ers.

Finding some young RVer's would be great, but really we're hoping to find some friends in our general area (few hour radius) who primarily weekend or long weekend it since we can't full time right now.

Anyone who loves wine, grilling, woods, water, and just relaxing in beautiful places would be fantastic!

There have been Air Forums rallies in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and other places in your region in the past. Be sure to take note of upcoming events and participate when they're within driving distance for a weekend.

In addition to that, start a new thread about where you plan to go camping in the next few months or later this year.

Several times we started a thread about an event we planned to attend and gave people sufficient notice to make plans. Presto, instant rally - no rules, just fun. No need to plan any activities just let the good times flow!

Which specific forum is the appropriate place to post about trips? This one or another?

Where are the Gen X & Y ers?

We live way out in Marfa, my wife and I are both in our early thirties and have taken on a strong passion for pulling our airstream down the road! We are about to leave for a six week road trip touring the American west. Just us and our two dogs. Love to hear about other people our age getting in to living and vacationing in rv's/travel trailers.Especially airstreams!!
If you're ever in Marfa look us up and we can head down to the big bend for a weekend.

Safe travels to ya'

Hmm..., shared interest in wine, grilling, woods, water, relaxing---doesn't that include nearly everyone?
