Question When to go?

We are new to the forum and WBCCI, and are seeking input from the better informed. We would really like to attend the '07 International. But, are not sure we are able to spend the entire 2 weeks, if you include travel time, that it would require. If one could only attend a portion of the ralley, what would be the best days to be there?

A lot depends on what you want to take in during the rally. The first part would probably be prefered if you are staying onsite.Maybe arrive early on the 27th to get parked and leave July 1st or 2nd.Things really seem to wind down towards the end of the rally.

First evenings "entertainment" is in large part taken up by the flag ceremony where every office (local, region and international) is introduced and walks down and puts up his flag. Followed by the International officers introducing all the local officals that helped them set up the rally. Then they have to welcome us. Then there is the long reception line where everybody gets to shake the hands of all the International officers and Region officers. Then there is punch and cookies and the band play for you to dance to songs out of the 40's and 50's. My wife likes it but I would prefer to pass it up. The second day is a good day to show up but parking and registration might be a little rushed, and you might miss some of the seminars which start pretty early. They do not park trailers on Sunday so stay away from trying to come in on Sunday.
