what are the numbers?

Could anyone explain the significance of the number at the front and rear of my 66 Overlander? Is this something I need to replace when I redo the exterior? And can you tell I'm new the whole Airstream thing? Great web site. Keep up the good work. Thanks, Tom

Those numbers are membership numbers for the WBCCI.
If you do a search, you will see many threads on teh subject. Including how to remove them entirely. WBCCI is the Wally Byam Caravan Club International.

Just a hint for when you get ready to refinis the exterior. Those number can be nearly impossible to remove completely. I would suggest: Check with the club's hdqtr, and see if they are available~You just might want to request them. Save yourself alot of extra work..
I'd check my newest membership book for you except it's down in Virginia.
BTW, WELCOME~!

The 14407 is a former owner's WBCCI Membership number. The numbers were originally red. If you join WBCCI and that number is available, they will issue it to you. When you see blue numbers on an Airstream, they are the owner's Forums membership number. See below.
