What area is WBCCI #1166?

The previous owners removed the red 1166 when they polished my 1965 Overlander. Anybody know what local/region #1166 is from, or how I can find out some history of the trailer?
Thanks

#1166 is an active number and is assigned to a couple in Ohio. I can only go back 3 years and the information is the same for those years.

The numbers are assigned to members not trailers. They may or not be previous owners of your trailer.

I learn something new everyday... Thanks! So, would it be safe to say that the lower the number, the older the member? Relatively speaking, not to say that all the members that have low numbers are actually "old" people, but I guess they would have to be old, to have a low number... Hmmm, now I'm confused... :-)

No, member numbers are often requested from any that are not being used. I picked my number which is the same as my AIR #. A friend pick his number based on the year he and his wife were born. There is very little you can tell from a number.

Member numbers are 4 or 5 digits.
Three digits or less would be a region or international officer
Wally was #1 and tomorrow is his birthday

it is common that lower numbers may belong to LONGER members of the club...

many of those folks are old now, but weren't initially.

i'm sure you could email or write the person who IS that number and get some basic info....

also we've got someone here who keeps the older directories and can look up WHO had that number 10-20-30 years ago....

cheers

I just recently joined and was issued # 2623. It seems that WBCCI is issuing "retired" numbers, so a low number does not necessarily mean anything.

Our Nevada Unit added five new members this past year; four of which received four digit numbers all starting with 4---. The fifth member requested a specific # and did not receive a #4 as the first number.

I would love to be able to track down the history of my trailer. What do I need to do?

WBCCI has been re-issuing low numbers for well over 20 years. Most of the re-issues have fallen in the 1000-7999 range. There are always exceptions and if not in use, you can request a specific number between 1000-32083 for a nominal charge.
