West Texas WBCCI

Well, we finally got this shiny trailer, now we are interested in information on the WBCCI for West Texas or possibly New Mexico. Thanks!

There are several units within your driving area, and you can join any of them. Note, too, that, as a member of the WBCCI, you can attend the rallies of any unit, whether you belong to the particular unit offering the rally or not.

Your area is a bit of a cross-over between Region 9 and Region 10. Below are links to the Region 9 and Region 11 units:

http://wbcci.org/home/regions-a-units/region-9
http://wbcci.org/home/regions-a-units/region-11

All units have different personalities and styles, and that will probably be important to you. In other words, if you find that the unit you wind up joining is not to your taste, some other unit in your area will almost undoubtedly fit your style instead!

Finally, you can now join the WBCCI online:

Thanks for the reply, I've been looking at the different units on the website. Looks like we are two weeks from anywhere so to speak. Amarillo, Albuquerque, or San Antonio. We are leaning toward New Mexico, grew up there, and it's not that far away. We really like the area from Cloudcroft north to Lincoln. Wouldn't mind ending up there when the works all done. Still feeling our way along for now.

You might look at the Heart of Texas Camping Unit-a fun group that loves to camp & cook. There is a HOTC member who lives in Midland--has several Airstreams

Lynn is absolutely right...check out some units and you'll find the one that's the right fit for you... You are in a location that gives you access to a number of units... and like Lynn also pointed out you may join any unit you wish and participate in ALL units' functions.

We camped for the first time near Cloudcroft last September and hope to go back earlier in the year to visit more National Forest campgrounds in the area before they close for the season. Nice area, and a great summer destination for us desert rats...

Good luck and welcome to Airstreaming!
