I really want to get a count thus far for how many. Sorry to be busting up the fun with official business, but our numbers are critical to me for wagon wheel planning and to the Leader for tours and meal planning. So as I read this thread we have:
Robandzoe(leader) wife and three kids
62overlander and one big kid named Pee Wee(advanced scout) and one kid
Rhonda and Dave and two kids? three?
Airedale and Dad?
Nuvite-F ? You in my man? we would love to have you....
Byamcaravanner and wife and four kids.
Frank,
My wife and I have a conflicting family obligation and won't be able to make it to the International this year, even though it's practically in our back yard.
I am hoping to come up and meet y'all in JC on the 24th. Won't bring a trailer, just a day trip--it's only about 60 miles up the road from us.
Speaking of which, will you be wagon-wheeling in the big open field out behind the plant where they had the 2004/05 Homecoming Rallies? (Good spot for it.)
... or in the main parking lot. My scout and I will have it all set up by the time the trailers arrive for the day. I should be at JC by 12 that day.
If all goes well, it will look like this...
I am getting a lot of PMs about details. So here are a few answered so maybe others might know too...
Where do I join in? Well, personally we would like you to join at the start in Pittsburgh. It is a caravan after all. But any segment you can do is better than nothing. We meet in Pittsburgh on the 23rd, Jackson Center on the 24th, Elkhart on the 25th, and Jefferson Fairgrounds the 26th.
Will there be hook ups? Were there hook ups in Africa? At the Factory there are hook ups. The plan is to do a wagon wheel in the lot and not use the Terra Port. If you prefer to hook up, it is a free country. I will have a generator so Pee Wee can have power to his CPAC machine. Anyone that needs can jump off of me. It is a quiet Yamaha, so hopefully no one will mind.
What does this cost? There are no fees we are charging for. However there are some associated costs. Breakfast and lunch are on your own. I personally am planning to live out of my trailer. For Dinner we are going to take donations and have Pizza brought in at the Factory. At Elkhart we are looking into a BBQ restaurant for a large take out order. Museums have costs, tolls, adult beverages, you know the drill.
How much driving are we doing and is it highway? Almost all the roads are going to be blue line roads. For those who forgot what an atlas is, a blue line road is a secondary highway. We want to enjoy the sights not have them zip by. In Northern Indiana and Illinois we might have to take a few toll roads. The driving is about 4-5 hours each day.
What if I want to take my time? Then you should volunteer to be the Caboose. that job has not been filled and it would be great to have someone who wants to take their time, someone who wants the responsibility of making sure no one is left behind.
Will I be able to sleep in? Yes, once you get to International. We will be on the road by 8:30 every morning. Sorry, but we need to be at the Factory and the RV Hall of Fame by one each day. For those late to rise, I will be on the road an hour ahead of you making sure the roads are good and that things are set for you at the other end.
How do I sign up? Say you are going here and Pm me your Name, address, unit and #, and an email address. cell phone # is good too. I will be passing all that info on to the Leader Rob Baker. I am merely his servant for this event.
What should I expect from this experience? Memories you will never forget, the forming of very close personal bonds, and a KICK ASS GOOD TIME.
Hope that helps spell it out a little clearer for some of you.
PeeWee should contact his CPAP supplier and obtain a 12V plug (known as a DC plug in CPAP terms). That way you won't need the generator all night.
You do have 12V in your trailer, don't you?
Bill

Frank, Terry and I would be happy to join you in Pittsburgh for the caravan. When you leave Elkhart we will be turning right as we will not be going to Madison this year, but I know this will be a great trip with you in charge.
You have to tell us where to meet in Pittsburgh.
Rob is in charge, he just does not post here and a lot of our members do so I am covering this end. My job is wagon boss. We are starting from a Cracker Barrel at 200 Davis Blvd in Pittsburgh. You could take a right after Jefferson County Fairgrounds too. We appreciate the support Doug. Glad you are coming.
12 volt what is that?
Yes actually I do and there is an round plug outlet just a few feet from the gaucho.
Frank,
Here is a picture of the front and back of the 12V plug packaging. Plug one end into the 12V outlet and the other end into the CPAP.

Bill... great suggestion, but I'll add that this only works if you DO NOT use heated humidification. Also, if one uses a high pressure setting, the battery will take a beating (unless you have a 250AH bad boy like I'm heading to Chicago tomorrow AM to pick-up for the GT )

Without plugging in the humidication chamber it is "dry boarding" yourself. It is necssary to use both plug-ins. Unfortunatley.
