I've been collecting some WBCCI URLs (regions and units) to set up more links on our New Mexico unit links page. Below's what I've gotten so far. Does anybody know of any missing ones?

Oh, good deal!

My goal in doing this is to link to others' WBCCI sites. Connected to it is to encourage all of the WBCCI websites to do reciprocal links. THis is not only good for people; it is also one of the standard ways to increase the standing of these sites in the major search engines (Google and Yahoo).

So, then, if anybody knows of any further sites, please add them in! I'll plan to assemble the bunch of them into a list and place the links into the NM site. I can also make the html code with links available to others, if desired.

Do you want to make a banner or something, or should I just do a regular link to the page on your site? It's a wonderful idea, BTW. Since the WBCCI cannot be bothered to link to individual units (you have to follow links to the region, and then find links to the units), I think it's great that you have gathered this info so we can have it easily accessable.

Welll, lemme see how many this turns out to be. Right now, the page is just a kind of standard links page:

I suspect I'll need to do some reorganizing of the page, maybe dividing it over two pages or so. In any event, I'll let folks know where the links are once it's all ready.

I think that the Regions are the weak links. If the Regions did a good job of linking up all their units then you could have a complete path from wbcci.org to each of the units.

WBCCI seems to consider their 10 issues/year of Blue Beret as their premier communication tool with little emphasis on the Web.

Oh, it takes quite a while to build that kind of thing up. Saw the same thing at the university, where individual departments would build more or less nice sites, and central admin places trying to x-link with them. That was many moons ago, and there are still some departmental sites that are in need of major care.

I still think, though, that Shari's site for the Denver unit is the real prize winner among the WBCCI units!

Thanks EUBANK. I have had a links page on my sites for some time, but they were out of date and you have given me the info to update them. If any other club wants to be listed, chime in please. I have done the Minnesota site and will work on Region 7 this afternoon.

You know, I've always had a much more ambitious goal, namely, to list all of the WBCCI discount parks for a unit on the site. It's hard, too, because the main WBCCI site does not include links for these parks (nor does the book). I've also found in our trips that some of them don't provide WBCCI discounts, in spite of their listings in the book.

But, again, that's a pretty ambitious goal.

Ah, I just looked again at the WBCCI site and can't find any listings of the discount parks. Think I must have been thinking of an electronic file they sent me some time ago (alas, also sans links).

I also used to have a link for rvsafety.com that listed all the states towing laws that no longer works. Anybody know where that went.
