WBCCI #'s
How do I check to see if old numbers are available. I went to the WBBCI web page but there was no link to check old number availability.
Thanks, Brian

Yeah, I'd like to know if the number on mine is in use and who the previous owners were. You would thing with today's technology..... but maybe they feel it is a privacy issue.

You need to contact the headquarters office by phone. They ca tell you if a number is available or not. If your rig has a number on it post it here. One of us can check the current WBCCI book and see if it is available, but the only way to reserve it is to call Jackson center. The number is on the WBBCI.org site.

WBCCI numbers
What numbers do you want to know about? I can look them up in the 2002 membership directory to see if their in use, of course they may have been taken since the book was published but it will give you an idea.

One of the things I did when I joined was to have a member check the book for available numbers. On my WBCCI application I gave them three choices as to the numbers I wanted. I ended up getting my number 2 choice. 5024 is the street address of the home where I grew up.

Just curious, I see only 3 #s on my trailer and they are 466. I don't remember seeing any #s this low before. Craig

Low numbers
I have an acquaintance that bought an AS about 10 years ago and got a low number by chance. It was the luck of the draw. Someone released it just when he applied for membership.
Hope I'm as fortunate.

Free number
How about 13225 (my house number)? Is that one perhaps free at the moment?
Also 9632?
Thanks

Numbers below a certain number are reserved for officers who are promoted, these are most if not all the 3 digit ones, otherwise you can request any number you like, unless its already in use or reserved so you do have a choice.

Thanks
Thanks for checking the numbers. I'll call up this morning and see if I can reserve #9632 which happens to be my date of birth, Septermber 6, 1932. That's a number that even I can remember!

WBCCI assistance
When I bought my previous '60 Overlander the former #4785 was not available so I took 4786. The 6 covered the 5 shadow very well. Try using an 8 rather than 3 etc.

Thank you for the warm welcome John. I have been a Airstream owner for a little over a year now, and just love it. I have been constantly upgrading on my camper and it has been fun from day one. I think I have an advantage over most of you, I seem to be one of very few airstream owners in the area. I don't take it out much, but when I do, I have always been the only airstream in the park. People stair like they have never seen one before. It's a real head turner around here.
I learn something new everyday about airstreams. Reading the forums has really helped. I look forward to learning more and thanks again...Dave
