But I've never seen anyone attend a meeting or rally in any kind of sport coat, let alone a red one. And no blue berets in sight, either. Heck, I was a member for almost a year before I even bought one of the berets, and haven't worn it since I bought it, except to try it on for size.
The jackets (Navy and Red) are a nice touch that we use in Region 4 business meetings and at some Int Rally meetings. It's not always convenient but a nice tradition that I like. I can see buy the less than helpful comments by most responders that my opinion about tradition may not be shared widely. It seems like we're loosing some of the personal pride and pride of ownership shared by our predecessors. I'm still working on my approach to making things better as a club.
