I just received my WBCCI registration numbers and was surprised that they were so low - i.e. 7074. Is the WBCCI office recycling old, unused, or abandoned numbers? I've seen many trailers with high 5-digit numbers.
I think they have wrapped up most of the low numbers for assignment to International Officers. Our unit's Treasurer is also the International Treasurer and he told me his number was changed when he took that office.

I mentioned this before. My Airstream had the number 8472 on it when I bought it last Summer. The previous owner was not a member. I found out the number was still in use by another so I had to get a new number when I joined. Since my Airstream was vintage I asked for a more appropriate 4 digit number instead of the current 5 digit numbers. WCCBI obliged with the number 6472, one digit different than the old. I appreciated that.
I have 5 numbers > We took my wife's parents number when they retired out of the club. Our number is 29206. I don't think we would change it for a low number.

I want 88888 to cover up all the PO numbers But I have been told I can't have that one But when the time comes I will try and replace the number that is there with something that will sort of blend in and cover up
what do the rivets mean, and how does one earn or get them?? We are very new to this site.
Thank you Kateh
Welcome to the forums.
Rivets are given for posts made here on the forum. The more posts, the more rivets. You can get up to four rivets, then you become a rivet master with your fifth rivet.
I was also surprised when, as a first time member, I was assigned 4582. It just arrived in the mail this week. I was expecting a five digit number. It was interesting to note that the instructions accompanying the numbers didn't address whether or not ot apply the numbers, but was very specific in how and where to apply them. The question remains... should I stick the numbers on my brand new coach, or mount them on plastic? I quess I have to make a decission before my first rally in November. This is the first time since the Boy Scouts (40 years) that I have been a member of any kind of organized club. It ought to be interesting.
Hummm. Come to think of it, we could get little red plastic stick-on rivets made and then have WBCCI numbers above the windows and little rivets below the windows.

I exchangened many emails with the WBCCI and was able to get one number off the ghost number in my Ambassador. They will work with you to try and accomodate you.
