Yes, the "database" is called the Blue Book. It is a soft cover book published annually by the WBCCI and distributed to all members current on their dues.
I say this only (if perchance) you're interested in "requesting" a cetain set of unused numbers..
I would not call them just to see who the owner is of a certain number..

For that matter just as 53 suggested if you are inquiring whether or not a number is being used ,Me or any other current member can tell you that .......only whether its avail. or not .
Tim - the number 2293 is currently in use by a couple from Dallas. When I asked for a specific number when I registered with WBCCI, they said they wait for two years for a number to be re-registered by the previous owners before issuing it again. Good luck and welcome to the forum.
When I bought my Airstream it had an old number on it that the previous owner did not have for at least 8 years. I contacted the WBCCI membership director through email and found the number was in use. I asked if there was a 4 digit number available and the director suggested the number I now have which is the same as the number that was on my trailer except for the first digit.
