proposed amendment(s) may be submitted in writing by any chartered unit, by the Board of Trustees and by the International President.

In this instance it will be the IP

Section 2 can be interpreted to allow that, but it removes the IBT from the process. I have spoken with IBT members who believe the June IBT is the next step.

That would give the Units time to discuss, give input to their RP and all issues could be discussed fully. Then we could discuss it again in the Fall, at the Unit level.

Slow? Shouldn't it be? We are changing the entire structure of an organization with 5000 owners (closer to 9000 with spouses / significant others). Acting on a single change SHOULD be fast. Wholesale replacement...proceed slowly!

My opinion.

Very interesting that there doesn't even seem to be unanimity within the IBT. I talked with my region president after the Mid Winter IBT meeting and learned that the region presidents were just as much in the dark as the rest of us.

This gets back to an earlier comment I made, that "the IBT" is routinely beaten up on these forums, but the big divide is not between the IBT and the membership, but between the Executive Committee and the IBT.

I was told that other than the committee, the only people to see the revised constitution is the EC.

Shelley - The Mask of Anarchy
The Hollywood disaster movie will start with the poem from Shelly. Then we fade to a flashback of happy campers in 1960's and the '70's, tens of thousands of them, flags flowing, berets everywhere, women in the kitchen in their crinolines and big skirts, and liberal use of alcohol. Back to the present—EC cackling behind the closed doors of a MoHo adopting the Egyptian constitution and declaring martial law. We look to the horizon — members marching with torches and pitchforks to the international rally. The tyrants in their motorhomes charge. The MoHo's flatten scores of members, but in a flanking movement the anarchists of TAC attack and flatten tires with blowguns. The EC is defeated and peace and happiness reign once again.

Now back to verbal attacks on each other….

Our Unit Business Meeting is in Mid April. We will consider the issues from Jackson Center. I would hate to occupy 2 rally Saturday mornings with Meetings (camping club) but will do so if we aren't fully in agreement in April. I prefer a more open process.

Will there "really" be change?

The problem with the club is not the WBCCI Constitution, for the Constitution does not make the IBT/EC7 take over $100,000.00 a year for travel expenses. The WBCCI Constitution does not make it mandatory to wear blue slacks, white shirt, red ties and a Blue Beret while you proceed in during the opening day ceremonies at International. The WBCCI Constitution does not make the IBT/EC7 bring up the MOHO issue after it has been voted down by the membership.

Could the WBCCI Constitution be changed to give MAL’s full rights, sure!

Could the WBCCI Constitution give the “general membership” more power, sure! (Look at Forrest’s amendment)

Many of the major problems with the WBCCI could be fixed with a stroke of a pen (expenses, dress, behavior of IBT/EC7 MOHO, etc...)

So unless the “New Constitution” cuts the purse strings of the IBT/EC7, allows a more “relaxed” atmosphere and will stop them from bringing up the same issues until they get their way, I see how little will change.

Gene I love it! I wonder which will be better, the miniseries circa Peyton Place or the complete unabridged biography or the movie with special effects.

You're really addressing issues with the Bylaws not the constitution

Which is the next step in the order of change, assuming the Constitution is adopted, the New Bylaws will follow for adoption at the next quarterly meeting of the new smaller IBT

Eliminate the Executive Committee.
