The Constitutional Convention was in 1787. The weak and dysfunctional Articles of Confederation were adopted in 1777. The Declaration of Independence was adopted in 1776.
The supporters of a Bill of Rights would not support the new Constitution unless a number of amendments were included such as free speech, right of assembly, etc., that make up the Bill of Rights. These rights are not the product of "minor squabbling". The Federalist promoters of the Constitution agreed to submit the entire package together to the states. The Federalists created a centralized form of gov't with substantial powers. The states ceded much of their power to the central "federal" gov't. This all was a reaction to the ineffectual, decentralized Articles of Confederation.
This has nothing to do with the WBCCI, but let's get our history straight.

WBCCI revised Constitution
The Revised Constitution reflects the personal goals of the five writers. MAL representation seems to be their prime objective. This goal can easily be accomplished without destroying the current Constitution and its ability to have meaningful representative discussion and voting at a Delegates' meeting. The Revised Constitution, as written, will destroy the ability, or allow, the common members to constructively contribute without IBT censorship and control. By allowing only the IBT to formulate the wording of any amendment to the constitution and only allowing a yea or ney vote via direct member voting without meaningful discussion and member uncensored input, it will destroy members' rights.
A second new opportunity and power is allotted to the IBT is to change the border lines of the second teir organizational structure (Regions or Areas) without any input or approval of the membership. However, the revised constitution (as written) does not contain wording that would mandate that the realignment of the "areas" to occur or how it should be structured to gain the most efficient or beneficial organization. There is no time limit and no direction as to the goals this reorganization should accomplish. My suspicion is that no Region president will willingly give up his/her office and the only thing that will be accomplished is a name change from "Region" to "Area".
In my review and analysis of the year they took to rewrite, the Constitutional Revision Committee had a sense of destine and far exceeded what the original intent of the committee was to accomplish. There are many areas in it which should be modified greatly in order for it to properly direct the future of the club.

Since we may have read the Revised Constitution differently would you please supply the article and section numbers that cause you to make this claim.
I would also be interested in your source for the original intent and goals of the Committee that you claim they overstepped.

Wow! and it took you 16 months to give us that opinion, (slow read) so you must have written numerous proposed amendments to fix what those 5 committee members did wrong, is that what you did?
R U going to Sedailia to explain these revelations to all the delegates?

"This will be a committee of the Executive Committee. It is being created to recommend to the Executive Committee a revision of the constitution and bylaws and policy. It will incorporate the information collected over the past several years and strive to detect and eliminate any inconsistency or any ambiguities and provide its recommendations to the executive committee for its action."

Former disenfranchised IP? How and when did that come about?

MotorHome Issue... Last week while at the Plant during Alumapalooza I was told that the New Airstream Motorhome on the Mercedes Chassis was the Number 1 selling Motorhome in the USA. So why are we having this VOTE??? Airstream still makes Motorhomes don't they? Yes they are downsized so let them buy them . Remember the Large Motorhomes are being built less and less each year due to economy of mileage. So I say as long as Airstream makes Motorhomes Thats the answer!! NO SOB are needed!! By. the way there were several Interstate3500 series on the grounds

This is a powerful issue with 1100+ posts in the previous thread. Let's split the 2013 discussion off into its own thread. Please go there to keep the saga rolling... http://www.airforums.com/forums/f286...-a-102878.html
