The insurance is for the protection of the club and its officers at all levels. It makes it possible to have volunteers come forward to become leaders and organize / conduct events for others to enjoy. Without it, who would risk their personal fortune to help the club. We certainly would not have been presidents twice or run three caravans.

IBT meeting

The agenda for the upcoming IBT meeting is posted at http://www.wbcci.org/documents/Janua...T%20Agenda.pdf.

There are only 4 motions, 3 that are not particularly significant to most of us and of course the MOHO proposal.

I find it difficult to believe even the IBT would support allowing non Airstream people with Thor motorhomes to join the WBCCI but it looks like that is what they are trying for.

Hopefully this one will never make it to the delegates but that is probably wishful thinking

The MOHO amendment (twice), name change (once) all coming from the IBT/EC7 does make what the IBT thinks matter. They have the power to bring any and every change they want forward by-passing the will of the membership and being able to throw it out for a vote. If both of these things had to run the same as the "Forest Amendment" they never would have seen the light of day.

So, let's think about for a second. The IBT/EC7 can form any Special Commitee they want, make sure they recommend what they want and move it forward.

Sounds fair to me!

Enjoy,

Rick,

As I recall the last motorhome motion allowed any owner of a specific Thor motorhome to become a member of WBCCI. This motion does the same.

My letter of opposition has gone out to IP, 1IVP, 2IVP, 3IVP, RP, UP and 1UVP.

Bill

May I remind any member so move that the e mail address of the membership were printed in the 2008 or 9 directory. Please consult your current directory or the BB for the current list of Officers.

Contrary to what the Lawyers have said, in their last cease and desist notation to me, any member can e mail any member pertaining to WBCCI interests. Page 2 of the directory, definition of the use of the contents of the directory. They wrote the restriction let them suffer by it.

Start to and continue to make your thought known. If you have posted here we know your thoughts. Send an e mail so they know your thoughts and start working within your units to schedule a vote.

Hopefully my thoughts in November "Letter to the Editor" Blue Beret were heard? Do I need to email the IBT directly, especially the thoughts from the THOR DIESEL CLUB membership chair, Patricia Koritta, who said THOR DIESEL CLUB has NO interest in WBCCI. She did say, Airstream Class A owners are welcome to join the "TDC" as long as they trade the Airstream and buy a "THOR Motor COACH".

Yes

You do have to e mail them individually. My old boss often said 10% never get the word no matter how often they are told. Looks like the IBT is made up of a lot of people my old boss was referring to.

Bill if I may suggest, expand your offer to entire IBT, not just 4.

Also be mindful it is Region 12's pres Ryan that is pushing the MOHO.

I'm confused by your post regarding the MHO issue. You mention the President of Region 12 as Pres Ryan. The current President is Judy Bechthold and the maker of the motion regarding the MHO issue is the current IBT Treasurer June Ryan.

Bob,

I understand your comment, anyone who wants to include the entire IBT can send an email to Cindy Reed and request that she forward it to anyone in leadership.

What I find disappointing on this is that there is little to no member benefit making it into the discussion - the best that the leadership can offer is a MOHO amendment that the overwhelming majority positively do not want! There is absolutely no member benefit to adding motorhomes. There is nothing here in this motion to actually KEEP members - especially in that the proponents have failed completely to show any evidence that this motion will be good for the club and increase membership. Talk to your average members - they are so turned off by this prospect that they will leave the club if this goes through. at least anecdotally, way more members will leave if this passes.....
If as much effort was put into trying to bring in the new owners of Airstreams and vintage rigs, this club could grow. There are so many units out there bucking the decline in the club - so it can be done. Make International cheaper and funner (although I have tons of fun with the VAC at International).
Bill, I'll take those addresses.... I write a message to express my thoughts.
