a retraction ...

I want to apologize for turning a joke into a further joke. I was unethical and altered one of the photos above. One of the forum members PM 'ed me and demanded I set the record straight. I was concerned about a law suit from PETA and took the eye patches off of the bulls in Pee Wee' photo

to beret or not to burr-a

I have been a member of the Wally B group and I have never been offered or told where to purchase a blue beret.I have no idea how to order one from the Blue Beret magazine or from anyone on line. How do you get one??? A secret ceremony at mid-night at the national get together.I've payed my dues to the Wally B since 1999.My number is 7076 .I have no idea how to get a beret.Hey a nice wool one would be kinda of neat. It would go well with my Airstream t- shirt and shorts. The Blue beret where??????????????????can I buy one TEXAS??.I can't believe the WBCCI doesn't realize this. A Dress code I hope not.I hope the WBCCI makes EVERYONE feel welcomed and listened to. TY

I just think if Wally could see the trends of today, he would probably say Its supposed to be about campin and fun NOT dress codes. ITs nice to keep Wally's dream alive and Honor him for what he started. But times are and have changed. For me there will never a blue Beret on my Bald head or red jacket over my shoulders
I guess U have to count me out till things change some more

I searched out of curiosity and found only baseball caps and tennis visors. I then did a search of "Blue Beret" and got zero found... so I searched "Blue Beret " on google, well by the fifth page I stopped. I would think that the Blue Beret being the official newsletter of the WBCCI it would have appeared earlier in such a search. So if you want a blue beret, you need to go to the mother office at the mother ship and get one. Not all hope is lost for the original Wally identifier was easy to find... Pirate Rhinestone Eye Patch

I think there was some talk that there is no dress code. If you would like to see just what the dress code for the International in Bozeman is you will find this very interesting...

Yes, for the 75% of us who are WBCCI members for the fun of camping with other like minded Airstreamers, this just does not apply. And in a way it does illustrate the serious divide between the 2 basic classes of WBCCI members; those who do it for the fellowship and those who do it for prestige.

By the way - Carol, that is a cute cat. Is it yours and does it travel well?

All of this talk about a dress code makes me want to buy a new hat and drive to Montana.

I think people will end up wearing what they feel is appropriate, as is their right, and they will have a wonderful time, camp with a bunch of great people, and probably cause some of the executive to do a few double takes and take some deep breaths.

The vast majority of folks are pretty common sense in the club and they will read the agenda and other than those on the stage they'll probably just go ahead and wear what ever they have packed in their trailer.

I suppose if the vast majority of attenders were to do this it would probably make it pretty clear to the executive that they've misunderstood the expectations of the members they serve.

Camp on, rally hard, travel safe

You will find the relevant sections in the bylaws under the Rally Greeter Chapter.

Watch out for those Walmart flip flops Jim! May be time to pull a little wool over my eyes, I wonder if the berets have special properties as do the aluminum shields. You think there's one big enough for my head? Would "dressy church" be like what is worn at the alter?
