Professional Event Planner- Meaning:
“Event planners organize a party, retreat, sales conference and meetings Event planners have the ability to organize events that will leave the invited guests happy and satisfied”
FYI- The WBCCI had just that at one time in the not so distant past.
Anyone know who??
I’ll give you a hint, their wife keeps things running.
First one that gets it, I’ll pay the "Unit" dues to become a WDCU member or Associate Member. (It’s only a buck)
Funny when that person went away, trouble started with the International Rally.

Hey that's not fair, you ask the question when I am out celebrating our son and daughter in law's anniversary and also finding out that their first child will be a boy. Give me a chance next time, I know the answer.

Sandy, he not only performed at the Bash... but Antsy and his 12 year old son Grant camped with all of us for nearly the whole event. We shared our family oriented fun and they shared their music and their company. Grant was a big hit with the teens girls and Ansty spread his good cheer through out the day besides the music around the campfire... BTW, he is a fantastic artist in addition to his music.
I can't say we made $120 a trailer on the Bash... heck, we only charged about that for the whole event including full breakfast every morning, a great steak dinner on Saturday, Fireworks that rivaled any local displays and of course Antsy McClain.

Hi, Bob,
I thought it might be useful to bump this thread, which gives some background of your involvement with the Constitution and Bylaws Committee (CBL).
The report of the CBL is absent from the Mid-Winter IBT Agenda published on the WBCCI web site. Given its importance, in view of the wholesale rewriting of the Bylaws—and since you yourself emphasize the need for communication above—I wonder if you plan to publish the CBL report before the Mid Winter IBT?
Section 7 of the Bylaws requires standing committees, of which CBL is one, to provide semiannual reports no later than May 1 (for the International) and December 1 (for the Mid-Winter IBT).
Quote:
All standing committee chairmen shall file a half-yearly report to Headquarters for presentation to the IBT. The deadline shall be no later than December 1 and May 1 of each year.
|
Or does the CBL just re-write the Bylaws, not comply with them?

That's correct we are a special committee appointed by the exec board or more specifically Norm Beau.
I would post the new Revision, just need approval to do so.
I'll ask.

First, the Revision report should go to the EC7 (including IP Norm Beu) and also to the Constitution and Bylaws Committee (chaired by PIP Don Shafer).
According to Policy E of Article III, the Constitution and Bylaws Committee would then "recommend" amendments they deem desirable or necessary to the IBT.
Then, according to Article XVIII, Amendments, Sections 1 & 2, Bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the Board of Trustees present and will become effective upon adoption.

Delegates/units/members can't change bylaws.
You of all people should know that.

Bob,
I thought that the bylaws were under the complete control of the IBT and not the delegates.
Who approves the distribution to the units?
What will happen at the mid winter meeting that will affect the, now on hold, status of the potential law suit?
Again, will the revision to the bylaws be on the agenda of the upcoming mid winter meeting?
Bill

My error not sure what I was thinking.
It is on the agenda.
After the Exec vote in a positive fashion the suit is history.
currently
These Bylaws may be amended by two-thirds (2/3) vote of the IBT present and voting at a regular or special meeting called for that purpose provided the proposed amendment shall have been submitted to all members of the IBT.
So after Exec it would go to the IBT in June I believe

Bob,
I don't see it on this agenda: http://www.wbcci.org/documents/IBT%2...028%202011.pdf
Is there an updated agenda which you can share with us?

No. But what IS the single most important revision to the Bylaws that anyone can think of?
Well, I'm glad I asked.
I vote to change Article XVIII, Amendment, Section 1 which reads:
"Bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the Board of Trustees present."
I think it would be really swell if someone other than the IBT could also have a chance to amend the Bylaws.
I sure hope someone who knows something about the club's Bylaws and who has the members' best interests at heart were on that neato Bylaw Revision Committee.
I'm sure it would be their most important revision too!

I wonder how much latitude the special committee will be afforded by the standing committee? Also with Don Shaffer leading the standing committee and the lawsuit being orchestrated by a member of the special committee it all seems like that constitutes a real conflict of interests.
