Airheads ??? WBCCI ??

WBCCI ? Airheads ?
Hi fellow Airheads.

I'm new here, so I have a couple dumb questions.

1. Are Airstream owners really called "Airheads"
My friends at the coffey shop say we are.

2. What does WBCCI stand for ??
I've seen it refered to in several post here.

Thanks

Wellllll I reckon if someone that purchases the best TT or MH money can buy is an Airhead Then I guess I resemble that remark Never really considered myself an airhead, questioned my sanity a few times . WBCCI is Wally Bynum Caravan Club International www.wbcci.org it is the official club for Airstream Owners.

Airhead sounds like a personal problem, but WBCCI is the Wally Byam Caravan Club International - an Airstream owners club. We had a free membership this past year because of purchasing a new trailer. We were not able to attend any events, but the newsletter looks and reads like they have an older membership. The trips are long - so you really need to be retired to participate. The trip fees also seem high - thousands of dollars in some cases. My family will travel on our own, and not renew the WBCCI membership. Others on the forum will know much more than I do about the club...

Hi dmac,

I was a new owner this past year and renewed my membership. Granted those national caravans are a little long and pricey for us still working stiffs. The MN unit has shorter rallys and caravans during our camping season April to Oct. (about 1 month). I am actually going to be leading a 3 day caravan next August. I figured if the organization is going to fit my needs I had to get in and lead. Please get a hold of me if you would like to discuss or get more info.

Angry Some one on this site!

Amazing the input you get from people that admit they never participated .

I too joined under the free membership and I highly recommend it.

I was 37 when I joined and I am certainly no the youngest.

Anyway, check the WBCCI out for yourself and see what it is all about.
As I have said before, "Never judge a book by its cover" obviously, someone on this site has elected to do exactly that which is cool but dont give opinions that are certainly are without experience.

I recommend that you read the thread "WBCCI Partcipation".
There are many opinions and discoveries discussed in that thread.

As for Airheads, Hmmm, I am not offended, I get it and i am okay with it but that is the first that i have heard of it.

Every time I have heard, we are called Airstreamers. Then again, maybe because they didn't want to annoy me...

Don,
Just noticed you are from Jonesboro, Arkansas. I used to live there many, many moons ago. 212 Driver Ave. IIRC. I was out that way in late September but didn't have the time to detour up that way. Maybe next time. Probably won't even recognize the town now.

I also lived up in that neck of the woods briefly, in Alton Missouri (near Doniphan).
Now I have a real stoopid question:
Don has zero posts listed, but a karma of two, and I just read his post. How did that happen?

The board has been down most of the day and we are getting all kinds of strange things going on. I post, then have to hit the refresh button, then get an error message, then it posts...most of the time But at least I know it's them and not me

No. The designation "Airhead" has already been claimed by BMW Motorcycle riders ... the ones with the air cooled engines.

Here's a link to their club.

I am also an Airhead .. here's a shot of my latest restoration project ...

Yep, Jonesboro has changed alot lately. It's really grown.

Nice beemer ! I like all motorcycles, as a mater of fact I like just about anything with a motor. Maybe that's why I was attracted to a house you can drive - it has a BIG motor !
I feel welcome here, thanks guys.
