Very good job
This was a great idea and produced some very informative responses. When there is more than one candidate the members will benefit from knowing what the candidates stand for. Unfortunately, some "nominees" still don't get it. Sure sounds like they are reading from the same sheet of music tho' even with a sour note. To suggest that it isn't important for the membership to know where the Nominating Committee stands on the issues the members feel are important is very short sighted and simply one of the biggest things wrong with the current system!

Go Leo! He was my neighbor in Perry. I agree that the opening ceremony is a sad relic of years gone by. I was bored to tears as the procession proceeded and in fact couldn't sit through the the whole thing. I noticed another candidate thought it was impressive--especially for first-timers. That may be true for some, but certainly wasn't for me. While I plan to attend future internationals, I will not go to another opening ceremony unless the format is radically altered. Thanks for doing this. Cheers,

Great job, valuable insight
Hi Richard:
Thank you so much for asking the specific questions and posting the nominee's answers here. Their answers provide great insight in who to vote for if this Club is ever going to move forward, and who to vote for if one prefers treading in brackish water. Great job. I can clearly pick out the agents of change I'm going to vote for.

Thank you for providing the responses to the survey.I find it refreshing to actually hear where some of the nominee's stand on some of the issues.
I always try to base my vote on the information provided to me by the candidates.Makes my vote for these positions pretty easy.

Thanks for providing the information.
It is very important to understand what the candidates are thinking. In the past, with a single candidate for each position, only the Nominating Committee had the chance to select the direction of the club. Now, with more than 1 candidate for several posts, we have a chance to assist them with selection.
I will certainly consider the answers when making my choices.

Richard,
Thank you for posting the replies from the various nominees. Since not everyone in the WBCCI is an active member of this forum, I suggest that the active WBCCI members make sure that these replies are delivered to their unit president for discussion at the unit business meeting. I am sending this to my president.
Bill

Leo and Bob seem to have the pulse better than most that I read. Good survey, glad to see some solid respones. You get a few folks like Leo and Bob in and I could see the tides turning.
