U.P. of MI Unit?

Heard that a new club unit is forming in the upper peninsula of Michigan. Does anyone know anything about the unit and who to contact for information on the unit. Although we live in lower MI, whenever we camp in the summer or fall, we usually go north over the bridge and frequently on to WI. This is a unit that we would be interested in joining.

There used to be a UP Unit of WBCCI but they disbanded a few years ago on account of declining membership.

Several UP WBCCI members are members of the neighboring Wisconsin Unit. In recognition of that fact (and with the approval of both Region 7 and Region 4), the UP was moved from Region 4 to Region 7 at the last Midwinter IBT meeting

Wisconsin Unit had a very successful rally in Marquette, MI last August.

My husband and I live in lower Michigan in the "Thumb".
We do a lot of camping in the UP and near Grayling. My husband is a grouse hunter.

If you come to Grayling, look us up. We are the only ones listed in the WBCCI directory for courtesy parking in Grayling. We don't hunt but we do kayak as we live on the AuSable River.

The WBCCI Wisconsin Unit will be hosting a rally in the Apostle Island area September 19-21 followed by a unit caravan from the rally to Copper Harbor, Michigan the week of September 21 - 27. (Yeah, I know, the Apostle Islands are in Wisconsin, not the UP--but only 50 miles from the state line!)
