Two Alaska Travelogues on the WBCCI Region 1 Website
Check out http://www.wbcci1.org There are two 2006 Alaska Travelogues posted there. First is the Connecticut Caravan - a group of 4 members of the Charter Oaks Unit and the second is the Hamnqvist Family Alaska Trip. The Hamnqvist's are active members of the New England Unit. Both are very good, makes me wish I was traveling with them.

Just finished reading through the Hamnqvist's diary, ending at July 10. It's my new favorite Airstream road show. Anybody know where they are now?
Per and the kids were scheduled to pick Lilli up in Fairbanks at the airport last Saturday. They were planning on hitting Denali National Park, Anchorage and parts of Kenai Peninsula this week and next, finally dropping Lilli off in Anchorage to fly home at the end of next week. They will then be "hopping" on a inland passage ferry (with Airstream and truck), sleeping on the deck of the ship in a dome style tent at night - I WISH I WAS THEM!!!!

Sounds like an amazing trip! I love all the detail, right down to what kind of pasta they had for dinner and who did the cooking. I hope they're planning on posting "the rest of the story" sometime soon. I'm staying tuned...
I got an email from the Hamnqvist family this morning. They are in Seward, AK camped out right on the Ocean. Take a look at the front of their trailer - it's painted with grey dirt from the unpaved roads they have traveled on.
Gosh, I wish we were there with them.
