I have interfaced with Jerry a few times over the years and he seemed like a reasonable guy. He does like his western hat and he is from Texas. I do not know why he would start such a controvesy, even before he has started his year in office. Of course, the proposed mandate only applies to his officers. After all this fuss, he will likely withdraw it. I usually do not attend the ball. The kids usually have a sock hop the same night which is much more fun.
Hey, that's ME!

I with Ed! ...No reason to let a half century of fun and adventure fall pray to a few folks that have lost touch with the real folks of Wally's Caravan.

I'm not leaving... as a matter of fact, I'm joining so that I can support folks like Ed Emerick that are stepping up to save what has made the WBCCI what Wally Byam wanted it to be.

Ed, Thanks for keeping us informed and thanks for fighting the good fight!

I'm with you Buttercup.

I'll be wearing a nice tux.

And I can vouch for how nice you look in a lighted tutu.

Rally on!

We're going to Bozeman. I am now looking for the most effeminate tuxedo I can find and if it does not specifically state that Guys must wear a tux then I do have a most lovely evening gown that I make look real bad and would be happy to wear.
I would love to read this mandate in writing....

Just look up 'vintage tuxedo ruffle' on ebay. I prefer Orange or Green. I think this could be the best inaugural EVAH!

For extra points, try to make sure the vintage matches your trailer!

The idea of white Tux's and evening gowns in the middle of a dusty field to coronate some egotistical putz President of a camping club is so absurd and bizzarly warped that all I can do is laugh and shake my head.

Now I realize being elected (selected?) Prez. of the WBCCI is in fact a big deal. With that honor comes responsibility to put the Club before yourself. Your job is the health and vitality of the Club.

This has strengthened my resolve that our Club must survive these clueless Nero's.

So I am taking a page from the "Book of Kevbo." Don't dress to impress. Dress to suck the air out of the room!

I will now attend all WBCCI rallies dressed like Wally. Smiley pocket shirts, baggy pants and boots.

All California Streamers Rallies I'm sure will remain clothing optional.
