We are planning to join in the very near future so I'm glad the controversy is settled...at least for now. I kind of like the WBCCI name, but the WBACI might have been OK. I guess either would have been fine. I just like the idea of keeping Wally's name in it since he founded it and the company.

Yes, we won at least for now. Five hours sitting on bad chairs - Basecamp is in and AOAII is out.

Worth it too. Now to get back to the real work of making this a club more folks want to be a part of.

I'm glad the vote went that way. Even though I pick up my first AS tomorrow I joined WBCCI two days ago just in case the name was changed. I've really looked forward to getting an AS for years and it had to have those red numbers and WBCCI stickers.

Now can we change the management to some people without full heads of grey hair?
As a forty something airstream owner and probably a minority, I feel under represented in the political structure.

Thanks for everything Michelle -- the vote, acting as delegate for NEU, and sitting for five hours in a bad chair!

As a forty something who has to work I can tell you that the organization is not designed for me. However I plan on joining the nearby chapter who's schedule seems to only have Grandkids events and month long caravans and subvert from within. On this website are a half dozen people like me in my county and we can create our own group in that chapter and plan the trips we can take. Lots of weekenders. That will allow us workers to caravan and keep that chapter alive with new members.

Goin camping,

There is nothing as positive as a subversive action in society....great idea for all of us with similar lives. The WBCCI can be a starting point for new ideas, and with a little tenacity, the new ideas can become reality. As I have posted before, it isnt the name that counts, it's the content.

John

Off-topic for a moment...

Whoa, Chuck! Whassup? Ya know I've seen your threads lately, with your new photo but didn't put two and two together that "chuck" was YOU! Congrats on your new MODerator position. Hey, I have something for you to practice your MODerator skills on...there are two posts out there on the same topic, i.e., windowless a/c, that perhaps should be combined into one post. hint, hint

Whooo. Is this International a "First Timer" event for you? Certain aspects of Int. can be torture. Others are heaven. (hint: nirvana is in the VAC section)

Wish we were there... NO! Wish International were here! -rg (the one with the beard)
