Naaah, the NEU hasn't burned any witches in years, dude.

This is a little closer to the mark:

We learned a long time ago to live and let live, to embrace diversity, to always listen to your mother,

and to whistle.

Haha! Mistral Blue has it right, we always look on the bright side of life! I'm only a witch when my dear husband attempts to get me out of bed too early on a NEU rally day!

You sound like my father! Such good counsel, thanks Mistral Blue and daddy!

Changing times

The NEU always had a religious director up until about 5 years ago. That person did a prayer at the business meetings, installations, holiday parties or other special ocassions. Prayer was otherwise at your own discretion and not part of the daily rally activity.

Maybe about 10 years ago there was a prayer said before dinners.

On another note, our BB arrived just last week. The letter from Tom Collier seemed to be encouraging. Thoughts??

Excellent

Tom has been doing a great job communicating with his editorial and the separate newsletter. There's lots of good going on and very good changes with focus on the units.

The thing that has not been done well is the past is publicizing all the positive things being worked on around the club.

Well, let's work on that.

I think they hear the drumbeat, and are trying to start moving in the right direction. As stated before, we also are encouraged by what our own unit is saying and doing.
