Friends, Caravaners, and Airstreams

As a Charter Member, and a First Caravanner there is nothing left to say but Friends, Caravanners, and Airstreamers...NO MORE, NO LESS.

With all due respect...

I kinda like "Aluminati." Has a respectful ring to it, but also references the thought of having been in from the beginning. Since they are the "elders" so to speak of a long tradition, even tho we may not always agree with their perspective.
cheers, bill b.

Absolutely No Boundries

I don't seem to sew well with threads.

Friendships have no boundries. Friendships have no categories. No titles! No restrictions. No age limits.

Happiness is a wide open lovely thing...with absolutely no restrictions.

The only thing we really need to call each other...is friend!

Enjoy life, enjoy Airstreaming!

You have to keep in mind that most of the old timers that are in positions of leadership grew up during the WW II era. Disipline was forefront, especially those with military background, they are used to a "snap to" response. You just have to look past alot of that. A lot of those members pioneered what we have today and are passionate about it, they certainly don't want to see the club dwindle, but most believe that you just can't have a good organization with out organization, if you catch my drift. That generation may view change as compromise and are concerned that if you have too much compromise, then the original structure of the entire club collapses, if that makes since. They're just going by what they know has worked in the past and if it worked in the past then more of it will work for the future. The attittude of "we always done it that way" is very hard to break. The best way to ensure change for the future is to get active in a leadership role now and start working your way up the ranks. No one lives forever and there will have to be leadership turn over during the next 5-10 years. Be on board and in place for when that time arises. I can guarantee that no one is just going to walk into the role of president 5 years from now from out of nowhere.
