The Canadian Atlantic Unit of Region 1 is inviting anyone interested in see the Tall Ships arrive in Halifax, Nova Scotia, to come to our Rally on July 29th - August 2nd. They are expecting approximately 40 Tall Ships to be arriving and most will allow visitors onboard. This should be a really fun rally. We hope some of you will take to opportunity to join us.

The "Primera Gazela," now called "Gazela Philadelphia" is the tall ship that my father-in-law bought, restored, and sold to the Philadelphia Maritime Museum. It is one of the few old square-riggers left in the World. It's a beautiful boat.
Right after it was completely restored the first time, it was presented at the Tall Ships Sail at the Bicentennial in 1976 in New York. It is the boat that the Rumanian boat crashed into during this event. Then, it had to undergo more massive repairs.

What an interesting family connection! This is probably a very dumb question, but have you had the opportunity to sail on her with your family? What a thrill that would be!
