Wow - nothing more impressive than a bunch of Airstreams lined up and ready to roll ..... add the desert setting and - heck - it just doesn't get any better ..... congratulations on a great choice for a picture!!!

Hi from GA. . .Sounded pretty negative to me too Paul...And your response 'shame on you' seems along the same lines....You do however win the award for most quotation marks in one post. Nice job, regards, C

Doug,

You’ve talked to my wife and kid, if I can’t do anything right with them why should here be any different!

But, I’ll be the first to say it was a great picture of a caravan in a beautiful setting of a bunch of people I’m sure having a fabulous time together.

But again, the picture also shows a single newer MOHO leading a larger group of newer trailers (80’s, 90’s, 2000’s) with a single vintage bringing up the rear.

If anyone was to ask:

“What type of Airstream does most of the IBT/EC7 and past IBT/EC7 members own that are in control of the club?”

The answer would be newer MOHO’s which are a very small percent compared to the clubs over all numbers. (The picture shows a single MOHO, much is in line with WBCCI)

If anyone was to ask:

“What type of Airstream makes up the majority of the WBCCI?”

The answer would be trailers built in the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s (much like is being shown in the picture)

If anyone was to ask:

“What has historically been the relationship between the IBT/EC7 (guys running the club) and the VAC Intra Club?”

The answer would be they have been treated like a bunch of misfits (remember the Perry, GA smack down) and are placed at the tail end of the club (Much like is being shown in the picture)

I’m sorry to all, if when I saw the picture the image I described also came to mind. But facts are facts! But as I said a few post back, I’m sure the leader of that caravan made the right decision on which way to turn and lead the caravan to a wonder place. I hope the leadership of the WBCCI also does the same thing.

The only issue, I’m sure the MOHO Caravan Leader and Map’s and GPS to get them were they needed to be. The IBT/EC7 will have to do it solely based on skill and leadership qualities. Regardless, of the outcome I’m sure it will a great caravan to be on even if we don’t know were it will end. If one thinks about it, through the years on this WBCCI IBT/EC7 Leadership caravan we have already seen some very interesting things going down the road.

I strongly suspect that Shari just thought it a pretty picture and never realizes the message in the line up.

Hope no one construed what I just said as "negative." Usually any comment I make about the WB is construed as just that.

Okay, sorry to bring up a touchy thread again, but since Paul called my attention to the banner, this just jumps out at me every time I visit the forums: Does anyone else think that trailer that's second from the rear may need more tension on the lifter bars? The rear of the TV and the front of the trailer both look a bit down...

(Also, I can't believe no one else commented on this. Maybe it is just me.)

Ken, That white suburban and 31ft combo with WBCCI #5001 wrecked coming back to Denver from Gillette in 2009 avoiding a golf bag on the interstate. The suburban and our members, Janie and Armin survived without injury. The suburban needed a new hitch and some glass and body-work, but the trailer went on its side, kept the tow upright while sliding down an embankment and was totalled. We know this, because we were going to buy the combo after Gillette and she called to say the trailer was off on the market. Besides we always saw the combo lever, the photo angle and perhaps a dip in the pavement is causing tow rearend to be down.

Wow! What a story. Sorry you didn't get to close the deal, but happy to know your friends were not killed or injured.

That's pretty sad. I wondered if it was just something in the road in the picture - I can't believe a group of Airstreamers would let one go that wasn't set up correctly.

What's the problem? It was a fair question.

This is a great picture of an Airstream Caravan with Chimney Rock in the background. Chimney Rock was a major landmark to the pioneer caravans on the way to California or Oregon. Love it!
