Smile Share in my sentimental joy -- our WBCCI number

We got our WBCCI membership package today, complete with our number... 10260... means a lot to me because it was my grandparents' number!

Tom, and Frank

Happy New Year!

Welcome to the club. I see your not too far from me. Which unit are you thinking about joining?? Our number is off by one digit from the one that was on ours.

We joined Wisconsin Unit -- people there were quite friendly, activities did not seem principally "grandparents" oriented (no offense intended, but we don't have grandchildren or even children or nephews to take to "grandparents" rallies), the VAC unit in Wisco seems dedicated and interesting, and we store our trailer at our Wisconsin home rather than here in IL. We will not limit rallying to Wisconsin, I'm sure.

I am sure that you will enjoy the Wisconsin Unit. Having been a member of the Wisconsin Unit since I acquired my Overlander in 1995/96 (was a resident of Grant County Wisconsin at the time), I haven't been to an activity that I didn't enjoy. The merging of the three Wisconsin Units (about three years ago) seems to have resulted in a wonderful Unit to join. My move to the Quad Cities in 2000 and now to far Southern Illinois means that I can't attend as many functions but will likely keep my primary membership in the Wisconsin Unit. I do plan, however, to join my local Southern Illinois Unit as an associate since they seem to have a very similar organizational philosophy.

Welcome to the Wisconsin Unit and WBCCI!

Kevin
