Rally visitors

Good morning -

As a new member of the Air Forum and one who is researching the purchase of an Airstream, I would like to know the rules for people, like me, who would like to attend a few hours of a rally to visit with Airstream owners, ask questions, etc., I want to avoid embarrassing myself by appearing like a crasher. Your comments would be appreciated. All good wishes. AKristine from Cape Cod.

If you are an outgoing, friendly person, you will have no issues. Heck, let the rally organizer know you would like to come down, and I'm sure you will get fed and given the drink of your choice!

If your ever near Ohio, shoot me an email, I'll show you around!

At the Airmidwest rallies "crashers" are welcome! Email first and see if there is an open house and ask on the forum thread of you can attend. This is a fun part of the rally since everyone is around and we all love to look at and show off our trailers! If evening works better ask to attend the potluck and what you could bring. We are all very welcoming and love to meet other Airstreamers or future Airstreamers. We were in AZ last month (flew in and stayed at a hotel) but were invited to attend a rally and went for a couple of hours. Everyone was so nice and welcoming that we wished we had our Bambi!

I know we're a ways away, but just stop in if you see a rally going on. Visitors are welcome and we always want to show off our rigs.

Visiting a rally is a great way to check out a number of Airstreams, ask questions, and chat with Airstreamers in "real life"... Where else will you have so many Airstreams and their owners gathered?

If there's a specific rally going on you'd like to visit, contact the rally host or organizers ... they will most likely be more than eager to have you visit. Visitors are always welcomed at 4CU rallies.

I think you will find AirForums Members and their rallys OPEN AND FRIENDLY. We will always answer your questions to the best of our ability and if we can't, we will find someone who can. You may find some clubs not as friendly as we did.I will not mention the club name but we went uninvited and were not greeted with open arms by most of those who were there. We already owned an Airstream and were camping a few miles away and just dropped in.

Rallies

Rallies happen a lot around here on the spur of a moment! Somebody says, "We are camping at __________", and the rest jump on and join in. Larry and I love going and meeting everybody. And if you are in our area you are also welcome to stop by and driveway rally. We have a spot that we offer to folks camping their way through Ohio. It is bunches of fun to just get together. If someone is driveway camping with us we usually organize a little backyard potluck and those that live close come and bring goodies!

We've had some folks drive down to our Moraine View rally to see the Airstreams and we have had folks within the campgrounds come by during the open house. We've often invited folks on adjoining sites to participate in the pot luck or our Saturday night movies. We are a friendly group of folks!!

good morning, Akristine,

you live in a rather "busy" Airstream area, where there are at least 3 active chapters of the WBCCI.

here are the 2013 schedules for -

the New England Unit - New England Unit » Calendar

the Cape Cod Unit - Cape Cod Mass Unit » Activity Schedule

and the Charter Oaks Connecticut Unit - Charter Oak Connecticut » Event Schedule

consider this your invitation to visit us at any New England Unit event that suits you. just let us know when to expect you (and your family or friends?)

I'm sure that the Charter Oaks and Cape Cod Units would welcome you similarly.

if one of those dates isn't soon enough, please let me know by email and we'll hook you up locally with Airstreamers who live nearby you?

best,
