Old WBCCI Directories

27049 was assigned (in the 1977 Directory) to Abner and Mary Jones from Brookhaven Sr. in Aiken, SC.

I have most of the directories from 1984-2006.I use these directories to help Forum members who have a question on a little history of 'the big red numbers' on their coaches.Many Forum members can attest to this and I really enjoy helping out whenever I can.I also would like to compile another complete or near complete set of directories so the WBCCI history is not lost.

So...If there are any Forum members who have or know of someone who has any old WBCCI directories,I am interested.

I would certainly cover any shipping costs incurred by the member and the directories would be going to 'a good home'.I would continue to use these directories to answer any Forum member requests and at the same time help preserve a little piece of WBCCI history.__________________

More Karma coming your way as soon as I spread it around a little. I hope the readers of this thread realize that Mike is exhibiting true Airstream spirit. I have some numbers lurking on my trailer. I know who they belong to now, but not how they got there originally. My trailer changed hand many times in one family and according to the MVA I am the seventh owner in Maryland. Before that, it was in Virginia. The ghost numbers are 10183.

I have a friend that has a 1949 and his trailers original number is 34.

Do you know anything about those numbers?

I will keep my eyes open for old directories...

According to the 1965 Directory, 10183 was assigned to John & Dorthy Ash from McLean VA. 34 was assigned to Floyd & Lucille Finkbeiner from Middleville, Michigan.

Been away most of the day.Thanks dwight for answering the inquiry.That friend of your's with the original 34...sweet.In the early years,the 'big red numbers' were applied to the side of the unit and in many cases the names were there too.

I have had 3 searches for forum members over the last two weeks which were unsuccessful.In all 3 cases I needed a WBCCI directory in the mid-seventies range(1973-1976).I've bumped this thread once again just in case someone,somewhere might know where one is available.
